Chaos close the preseason in pink, beat Fort Hood 102–86
A full gym, a cause bigger than the scoreboard, and a hundred-point night to close out the preseason.

Camp Triumph was pink before the ball went up. Pink shirts in the stands, pink in the warmups, pink on the sideline. By the final horn on Saturday, October 3, the gym had something else to show for the night: a 102–86 CTX Chaos win over Fort Hood in the preseason finale.
It was the last tune-up before the games count, and the Chaos played it like a statement.
How it turned
The Chaos didn't come out sharp. Fort Hood set the early tone, and for most of the first half the Chaos were the ones chasing. They never let it get away, though. They kept grinding, kept answering, and by the break they had clawed in front. The Chaos went to the locker room up two.
The team that came out of halftime looked nothing like the one that started the game. The Chaos came alive. The energy in the gym rose with every possession, and the two-point cushion turned into a lead Fort Hood couldn't touch.
Fort Hood never found an answer. The Chaos outscored them by 14 after the break, crossed 100 in the closing minutes, and finished it 102–86. A slow start had become a statement win, and the gym let them hear it.
Who carried it
Savien Cromity earned Offensive Player of the Game with 22 points.
On the other end, Canaan "Hustle Man" Gardner earned Defensive Player of the Game. The nickname says how he plays, and on a night that started as a grind, that's the kind of player a team needs.
Twelve players, no easy nights: that's the standard, and the Chaos lived up to it before the regular season even started.
The halftime show
The break had its own headliner. Jaden So Groovy, an up-and-coming artist, took the floor at halftime alongside the CTX dance team and kept the gym moving while the Chaos regrouped in the locker room. Whatever was in the air at Camp Triumph, the team brought it back out with them. Follow Jaden So Groovy on Instagram.
Why pink
The Pink Out was Breast Cancer Awareness Night, and it was the reason the gym looked the way it did. [ADD SPECIFICS: any survivors honored at halftime, an organization the team partnered with, funds raised, a moment from the ceremony.]
The Chaos were built to be a family- and community-first team. A night like this is what that looks like in practice. The scoreboard was the second-best thing that happened in the building.
What's next
The regular season opens at Camp Triumph on Sunday, October 18, against the Texas Red Wolves. Opening night is Nightmare on Hoops Street, the Halloween theme night. Tip-off is 5:00 PM. Costumes are welcome.
